Cloud expert Henrik Westergaard Hansen from Microsoft presented Windows Azure and new .NET features.
Whereas new versions of a Windows OS were once issued about once every 3 years, it now only takes 3 months for a new release to the cloud. The program was as follows:
- How Windows Azure works today and how to design, develop and test Azure solutions. Plus, a closer look at SQL Azure and Appfabric.
- Parallel Computing is one of the new features of .NET 4.0. Task Parallel Library and parallel extensions provide a better programming model for multi-threaded programming.
- The next generation of .NET will focus on a better programming model for asynchronous programming. Plus, what the future holds for .NET.
A similar event was held in Aarhus on 16 June 2011 for IT consultants from Jutland and Funen.
